A super-affordable workshop

Words Together is a new event, designed to welcome people into a Dark Angels experience in a way that makes it as affordable as possible.

We will gather at the Art Workers Guild in London on November 22 and – as the name suggests – write some words, together. The day will be hosted by writers and Dark Angels partners Neil Baker and Martin Lee.

Neil and Martin will be offering a series of writing exercises and word experiments from the Dark Angels playbook, and adding some new ideas into the mix.

It’s an opportunity for you to enjoy some creative connection through words, meet kindred spirits, and learn whatever you want to take away as learning.

The details are:

  • The Art Workers’ Guild, London. WC1N 3AT

  • November 22, 2024. 12.30-4pm

We are offering tickets at three different prices:

– £95, if you would like your generosity to help fund reduced-cost tickets, or if your employer is paying

– £75, the standard ticket price

– £35, if this is what you can afford just now

We trust you to select the ticket price that feels right for you at this time. Just pick what works when you click the 'book your tickets' button.

If the cost of travelling to London makes even these lower-cost tickets difficult for you to afford, please let us know and we will see if we can offer a small bursary.

I was missing Dark Angels and felt my own words needed an injection of energy. Words Together was just that! Sharing ideas and words with a lovely eclectic bunch of fellow wordy folk and exploring some fun and thought-provoking tasks. A really worthwhile day ‘out of the office’.

The afternoon was an oasis of calm and creativity in the midst of my busy week. I particularly enjoyed the playful, collaborative vibe; it was great to experiment with writing and create something with others.

Loved the Words Together event. If you’re looking to get out of a creative rut, be inspired, have fun and connect with like-minded people in a supportive environment, there can be few better ways to spend an afternoon. The half day format means it’s easy to fit into schedules and it felt like we actually covered quite a lot through a good mixture of surprising and thought-provoking exercises. Do it!
