Exploring freedom and stuckness
Join Neil Baker and Steve Chapman and a small group of kindred spirits for a series of experiments designed to get your creative energies flowing – some of which will involve writing, but not all.

We want to make this residential as affordable as possible, so we’re offering places at three different prices:
£1,600 if your employer is paying or you feel able to pay a bit extra to help fund lower-cost spaces
£1,200 is the normal price for a space
£800 is the reduced rate if this is what you can afford just now
We trust you to select the price that feels right for you at this time. We really want this experience to be accessible, so if you’d love to come but can’t afford the reduced rate, please let us know.
If you’d prefer to book by email, if you require an invoice for your employer or would like to pay by bank transfer instead, please contact Susanne who can assist with that.
This four-day Dark Angels residential will take place at the magical Bore Place, in Kent.
Hosted by Neil Baker and writer, artist, speaker, coach, Dark Angels alumnus, all-round creative powerhouse – Steve Chapman.
Our aim is to offer a stimulating experience in which everyone can play, experiment and learn from each other.
Our hope is that you will leave the residential feeling creatively inspired and with a good sense of how you can sustain that energy once you return to ‘the normal world’.
The dates encompass the summer solstice, and some of that energy will filter into our time together.
Bore Place is run by a charity that's committed to helping people live happy, fulfilling and sustainable lives. It’s in 500 glorious hectares of the Kent Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but only 35 minutes on the train from central London and 45 minutes by taxi from Gatwick airport.
The details are:
Arrive by 3pm on Monday June 17th
Leave at 3pm on Thursday June 20th
All rooms are single occupancy, with bathrooms shared
We will provide nutritious vegetarian meals, and also a few beers and wine
Venue is here: Bore Place, Bore Place Road, Chiddingstone, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 7AR
