Reflections through Art & Writing (full)

Tutors: John Simmons and Jenni Wallace

A very special workshop retreat where John Simmons teams up with artist Jenni Wallace to explore the links between writing and visual art. The venue is Tilton House in the stunning South Downs National Park.

Relax and stimulate the senses

This is a unique combination of retreat and workshop, designed to refresh your creativity, provide space for relaxation and stimulate your senses. The food will be delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals and, yes, there will be wine. Places will be limited so we advise early booking. The accommodation is comfortable, and there are options to choose a room of your own, to share or to have a non-residential place if you live nearby.

Venue & facilities

Located at Tilton House, the former country home of John Maynard Keynes, this is the only Bloomsbury house where you can stay overnight. Close by is Charleston, the house where Vanessa Bell painted in the company of her sister Virginia Woolf and other members of the Bloomsbury set. We’ll visit the house, which is itself an inspiration for writers and artists, and we’ll go for walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside. And enjoy springtime.
